Dynamic Step Moving Average

This is another version of moving average. In this case values are calculated not just by a price but by increasing price step: dynamic (by default) or constant. A smoothed price channel, parameters of which can also be adjusted, is used for changing direction of the straight line. This type of the straight line can be used as a trend pointer or a support/resistance level. Divide values of the first two parameters by 10, if you trade yens or metals.

Parameters

• StepKoeff — step;
• MaxKoeff — multiplier for determining the maximum step;
• DynamicMode — enable/disable dynamic step calculation;
• StepPeriod — period for dynamic step calculation;
• PeriodHighMA — period of smoothing the upper line of the limiting channel;
• MethodHighMA — method of smoothing the upper line of the limiting channel;
• PriceHighMA — price for calculating the upper line of the limiting channel;
• PeriodLowMA — period of smoothing the lower line of the limiting channel;
• MethodLowMA — method of smoothing the lower line of the limiting channel;
• PriceLowMA — price for calculating the lower line of the limiting channel.
