Extended Fractals

The indicator enhances the potential of standard fractals and allows you to identify, display and use them, calculating them for any odd length, i.e. 3,5,7,9 bars and so on.

The number of bars to be used is set in the 'Left fractal bars count' variable (by default set to 2). Its value determines the number of bars on one side, not including the central one, i.e. for a standard fractal of 5 bars it is equal to 2 (2 bars * 2 sides + 1 central bar = 5 bars for a fractal search and identification).

Parameters

• Period price MA - period of the moving average for calculating fractal prices (a value of 1 corresponds to standard calculation of fractals without averaging)
• Method price MA - method of the moving average for calculating fractal prices
• Price High - price to search for High
• Price Low - price to search for Low
• Left fractal bars count - amount of bars in a fractal from one side excluding the top, i.e. the value is 2 for a standard fractal of 5 bars
• Arrow shift from extremum - indent (in points) from the fractal's extremum for highlighting the top
• Using high/low bars values to draw arrows - if set to true, the high/low of a candlestick should be taken into account when drawing arrows
• Up arrow code - bullish fractal symbol
• Down arrow code - bearish fractal symbol
• UpFractalalert - enable/disable alerts when forming a new bullish fractal
• DnFractalalert - enable/disable alerts when forming a new bearish fractal
• Enable alert message on new Fractal - enable/disable a text message
• Enable Notification on new Fractal - enable/ disable a notification
• Enable Sound on new Fractal - enable/disable a sound notification
• SoundFileName - name of a file for an audio notification
