SinRoC

The Sin RoC indicator is an improvement of a well-known RoC indicator, described in the book "Trading for a Living" by Alexander Elder.

Thanks to the sine transforms applied in Sin RoC, the indicator received the ability to display its values in the strictly limited numeric range from -100 to +100.

Besides, it received the ability of smoothing by ЕМА, and displaying both one or two curves: the curve plotted without smoothing and the curve smoothed by the EMA.

The additional window of the indicator displays three levels specified in the settings. It is possible to generate alerts at their intersections.

There is a special coefficient added in the settings for changing the sensitivity threshold of the indicator.

The indicator may receive signals from the intersection of the indicator curves, from these curves exceeding the specified levels, and the divergences, which are well displayed by the smoothed curve of the indicator.

The indicator parameters

• Period SinRoC (N) - the number of bars used for the calculation of the indicator period N. Recommended values – from 5 to 60.
• Coefficient of smoothing (K) - ЕМА smoothing coefficient. Recommended values – from 1 to 12.
• Sensitivity Coefficient – sensitivity coefficient. Recommended values – from 1 to 12.
• Maximum level - level of the maximum value of the indicator curve, exceeding which generates an alert. Recommended values – from +30 to +100.
• Minimum level – level of the minimum value of the indicator curve, exceeding which generates an alert. Recommended values – from -30 to -100.
• Enable: line of N – enable/disable the display of the non-smoothed curve of the indicator.
• Enable: line of K – enable/disable the display of the curve of the indicator smoothed by the EMA.
• alert zero level – enable/disable alert that notifies about the intersection of the zero level by the indicator curve.
• alert max level – enable/disable alert that notifies about the intersection of the maximum value level by the indicator curve.
• alert min level – enable/disable alert that notifies about the intersection of the minimum value level by the indicator curve.
• Maximal bars (0 -all bars) – the number of bars used for the indicator calculation. At the value 0 — the calculation is performed by all vars of the chart.
