This technical indicator is based on the analysis of the behavior of quotations of securities and their moving average.

Mathematically, a moving average is one type of fold, and it can therefore be regarded as a low pass filter used in the signal processing.

The moving average value of the function is calculated anew each time considering the final significant set of previous values of the moving average "moves", a sort of "sliding" from a time series.
