Breakout Line

The Expert Advisor enters the market at the breakout of a trading range high or low. In technical analysis, high or low breakout usually means the beginning of a new trend (or continuation of a previous one) and the good moment to enter the market in appropriate direction. The EA buys if the high of a trading range was broken and a candle closed above it. Selling is performed in the opposite case. The number of candles in a trading range can be configured. It also depends on the market volatility. The EA can determine the appropriate stop loss and take profit values. Make sure to optimize the EA before trading. Besides, any trading robot requires optimization from time to time.

Inputs

• Lots - lot size;
• Percentage of free money - % of free funds for opening a new deal (if Lots=0, a lot is calculated using % of free funds on the account), recommended - 1-10;
• Max spread - maximum spread for entering the market (useful for accounts with floating spreads, so that a market entry is performed when a spread is not too large);
• Magic - a unique identifier, use different magic numbers if multiple Expert Advisors run in your terminal;
• Take Profit - order closing price at a certain profit target;
• Stop loss - stop loss;
• DynamicTPSL - if true, Take profit and Stop loss are calculated using the width of a broken range;
• Number range bars - number of trading range bars where highs and lows are defined;
• Shift - shift to the right relative to a trading range;
• TimeframeADX - ADX indicator timeframe (in minutes: 15 = M15, 60 = H1);
• PeriodADX - ADX period;
• ADXRelation - correlation between trading range size and ADX (recommended values - 0-100);
• Level ADX - ADX level, above which trading is allowed;
• Hour start place orders - trading start hour (server time);
• Hour stop place orders - trading end hour (server time);
• ShowInfo - show info (true/false). I recommend disabling this parameter during optimization, so that testing runs faster.
