Trend Hour

At certain times, the market has a very strong volatility on all currency pairs. During that time, some currency pairs move stronger, and some weaker. The Trend Hour EA opens a trade on the most trending currency pair at a certain time. It determines the strength of the trend on multiple currency pairs and multiple timeframes using the Alligator indicator and ADX. Usually, the strongest movements happen on the currency pairs with the dollar in the middle of the US session. It is not necessary to keep the EA activated at all times, it can be attached at the hour when the currency movements are the most suitable for trading. Also, if the hour to close the trades is set, the EA must work during that time as well.

• This is a multi-currency EA - it analyzes from 1 to 10 currency pairs simultaneously, and also analyzes the situation on multiple timeframes;
• The EA can operate only 1 hour a day - this frees it from using a VPS or a constantly working computer;

Recommendations for optimization: as this is a multi-currency EA, it can not be optimized for multiple currency pairs simultaneously. But the optimization works on the selected currency pair (if the EA was supposed to open a trade on another currency pair during the test, it will simply not open it at all). Therefore, it is necessary to manually select the currency pairs (that are added to the list) one by one and check the settings. The default settings are designed for 5-digit quotes and for the GMT+3 time zone, different time zones will have different best times for opening trades.

Expert Advisor Input Parameters:

• Lots - lot size (if Lots=0, then the lot will be calculated based on the percentage of account free margin);
• Percentage of free money - the percentage of free margin to open each new trade (works when Lots=0);
• Magic (unique identifier) - unique Identifier (it must be different for each instance of the EA in the terminal);
• TakeProfit - order closing price at a certain profit target;
• StopLoss - the Stop Loss order value;
• HourOpen - hour to open a trade (from 0 to 23) by server time;
• MinuteOpen - minute to open a trade (from 0 to 59);
• HourClose - hour to close a trade (if a value greater than 24 is set, the trade can only be closed either by stop loss or take profit);
• MinimumStrength - the minimum strength of a currency pair to open a trade (recommended values are from 0 to 100);
• NumberTimeframes - number of the analyzed timeframes (from 1 to 8);
• Level1ADX - the first level of the ADX indicator;
• Level2ADX - the second level of the ADX indicator;
• PeriodADX - period of the ADX indicator;
• MaxLevelADX - maximum level of the ADX indicator;
• Symbol1 - name of the first currency pair (for example: "EURUSD");
• Symbol2 - name of the second currency pair (for example: "GBPUSD");
• Symbol3 - name of the currency pair 3;
• Symbol4 - name of the currency pair 4;
• Symbol5 - name of the currency pair 5;
• Symbol6 - name of the currency pair 6;
• Symbol7 - name of the currency pair 7;
• Symbol8 - name of the currency pair 8;
• Symbol9 - name of the currency pair 9;
• Symbol10 - name of the currency pair 10;
• ShowInfo - show information (slows testing if enabled).

The names of the currency pairs must be specified the same way they are displayed in the "Market Watch" of the account. If not all possible currency pairs are used, always specify them in order, with no gaps.
